Alice in Borderland season 3 is just a few months away! While September 25 has been rumored as the release date for some time, Netflix has now officially confirmed that all episodes will drop on that Thursday. The announcement comes alongside a new teaser trailer, a brand-new poster, several stills, and fresh details about the upcoming season.
In addition to the new teaser, a new synopsis teasing what to expect from the upcoming season also dropped, reading:
“Now, the “games” that took the world by storm begin once again.
In the previous season, Arisu and Usagi cleared all of the games and returned to the real world. They have since gotten married and established a happy life together. Their memories of the borderland were erased, but they see glimpses of it in dreams and hallucinations. One day, Usagi, led by afterlife researcher Ryuji, suddenly vanishes. At the same time as Usagi’s disappearance, Banda hands Arisu the final card: the Joker.
The uncharted journey led by the mysterious Joker card is about to unfold…”
The release of the new teaser trailer follows Netflix’s big reveal for the show in February 2025, as part of its Next on Netflix Japan series, which teased more of the themes, shared early first-look stills, and provided additional information about what to expect. The show also went viral again in the Spring with Yeji of ITZY rumored to be joining the cast, but we got clarification that this is false.
Season 3 of the show is headlined by Kento Yamazaki, Tao Tsuchiya, Hayato Isomura, and Kento Kaku, with Shinsuke Sato continuing as director. The series is written by Yasuko Kuramitsu and Shinsuke Sato and produced by Akira Morii and Tomoki Takase, with Kaata Sakamoto as executive producer. The series was developed and produced by ROBOT, based on the work by Haro Aso and Shogakukan.

A poster has also been released which according to Netflix, “depicts Usagi and Arisu desperately reaching out to one another, conveying the haunting atmosphere of the Borderland. The art captures the essence of a world that serves as a boundary between life and death, evoking a sense of dread for the potential fate that may await them.”
