On April 19, an individual who served alongside V in the same military unit made an Instagram post dedicated to him after being discharged from service. He revealed that despite V’s overall poor health, he won first place in urban training and shooting and even received the model military police award.

Even though his shoulders, thighs, and overall physical condition weren’t great, he still got first place in shooting as a perfect marksman, first place in winter urban combat training and shooting, and even received a model military police award while pushing through injuries. Watching him, I was truly inspired.

The fellow soldier also shared an almost cinematic moment he shared with V while taking their final fitness test together,

Running that 3km side by side, both of us trying so hard to achieve the elite level—pushing each other, cheering each other on, and finishing way ahead of the standard—that was such a memorable, almost romantic moment. I think it’ll stay with me for a long time.

According to the OP’s account, V also generously donated training equipment for fellow soldiers and frequently treated them to delicious food.

Also, those times we went to work out together rain or snow, and thanks to the equipment you donated, we were able to exercise in a much better environment—those are all precious memories. I’m really grateful for all the delicious food you bought for me at the PX during our outings too.

Finally, the fellow soldier credited V for inspiring him to follow his dream of becoming a rehabilitation therapist and promised to live his life like V, “steady and never giving up.”
