A quieter month of Netflix Original removals is planned for August, but the biggest hit among those five titles leaving is the kids’ animated series Ever After High. All five seasons are scheduled for global departure on August 6, 2025.
First arriving on Netflix in March 2015, Ever After High was among the first-ever roster of animated kids’ titles for Netflix. Produced by Mattel and Guru Studio, five seasons were released in total, with each season having a different name:
- Welcome to Ever After High
- Spring Unsprung
- Way Too Wonderland
- Dragon Games
- Epic Winter
The fifth and final season was added to Netflix on August 6th, 2020, meaning the show has been on a 5-year exclusive window after the final episodes dropped.
A removal notice can now be found on the official show page stating that your “Last day to watch on Netflix” is August 5th.
The good news is that fans of Ever After High will be well served on the official YouTube channel for the property, which hosts full episodes.
To my surprise, Ever After High still gets impressive viewership numbers, at least according to the Netflix Engagement Reports. According to those reports, the series, spanning its five seasons, has garnered 47.20 million viewing hours between 2023 and 2024, equivalent to 30.20 million views.
Looking ahead, there are still many big removals planned for Netflix Originals throughout the remainder of 2025. As we covered in our list of up to 90 titles set to leave, some of the other titles scheduled to depart later this year include kids’ highlights like All Hail King Julien, Trolls: The Beat Goes On!, Care Bears & Cousins, and Some Assembly Required.
Other Netflix Originals Leaving Netflix in August 2025
Beyond Ever After High, it’s going to be a much quieter month for Netflix Original removals, that we can see so far anyway, especially when compared to the likes of
- Jared Freid: 37 & Single – Released in 2023, this stand-up comedy special features American comedian Jared Freid.
- Removal date: August 14th, 2025
- Million Yen Women (also known as Hyakumanen no Onnatachi) – Japanese drama series centering around Shin Michima, an unpopular and struggling novelist, who finds himself living with five mysterious women who each pay him one million yen a month in rent, with strict rules about their cohabitation.
- Removal date: August 15th, 2025
- Victim Number 8 (La víctima número 8) – This is a Spanish thriller television series with the plot revolving around a fictional jihadist attack in Bilbao, Spain, and the subsequent investigation.
- Removal date: August 16th, 2025
- Kardec – Brazilian biographical drama film about Allan Kardec, the French educator and philosopher who is considered the systematizer of Spiritism.
- Removal date: August 29th, 2025
