On April 8, the group’s Instagram account reposted an image to its story, featuring a woman with bold text saying “IDGAF” overlaid. The image also had an additional message in the upper corner and a coffin in one of the lower ones.

This image was formatted as many “memes” these days are; however, many took issue with it because the woman in the image was Goo Hara.

Hara debuted as a member of KARA in 2008 and remained active until her passing in 2019. The idol was recently praised for her part in helping journalists expose the Burning Sun scandal, even as she dealt with the aftermath of being blackmailed by her ex-boyfriend, who threatened to release a sex video taken without her consent.

After being made aware of Hara’s identity, the group deleted the post and apologized in a tweet. The group explained that they unknowingly shared the image as they were not familiar with Goo Hara or the context of the photo.

f5ve (formerly SG5short for Sailor Guardians 5) consists of SayakaKaedeRuriMiyuu, and Rui. They debuted last year with single “Firetruck” and re-debuted with “Lettuce,” their first release as f5ve.
