As survivors, from that moment on, they will face life in prison by fighting against the adversity of the prison regime and the challenge of the different “tribes” that control the daily life of the prison. Using the weapons each one brings from their personal history, discovering their own strengths and weaknesses, they will build their place in the universe of La Quebrada. En el barro narrates the transformation of this group of inmates immersed in a new reality – confinement, deprivation of liberty – and they will face the challenge of finding their own space, fighting for rights and benefits, and resisting the overpowering influence of the different “tribes” that control the daily life of the prison.
