Back in August 2022, the idol signed an exclusive contract with SPK Entertainment. However, he did not receive the promised payouts or the necessary support for broadcast appearances, fan meetings, and album releases. Despite sending a demand letter and requesting corrective actions for contract violations, SPK Entertainment did not respond.

Due to the continued lack of communication, Lee notified the agency of the contract termination last year. Subsequently, compulsory mediation was established in an injunction to suspend the exclusive contract, granting him contractual freedom.

At that time, Lee also filed a lawsuit seeking settlement payments for various activities, including INFINITE’s earnings, YouTube appearance fees, and Japanese fan meeting revenue, covering a period of over two years. Nearly a year after filing the lawsuit, he finally won the case on February 28, 2025 (KST).

The court ruled, “The defendant (SPK Entertainment) must pay the plaintiff (Lee Sungjong) the settlement amount with an annual interest rate of 6% from April 21, 2023, to February 28, 2025, and 12% thereafter until full payment is made.”

Following the news, INFINITE fans are celebrating justice served!
