The Hotel Del Luna writers, the Hong Sisters, are again teaming for Netflix’s brand new K-drama project, Grand Galaxy Hotel. Lee Do Hyun and Shin Shi Ah have been confirmed as the series leads. Details are still limited, but here’s everything we know so far.
Grand Galaxy Hotel is an upcoming South Korean Netflix Original series directed by Oh Choong Hwan and written by Alchemy of Souls and Hotel Del Luna writers Hong Jung Eun and Hong Mi Ran.
What is the plot of Grand Galaxy Hotel?
We have a small synopsis for Grand Galaxy Hotel:
“A unique tale unfolds when the manager of a hotel—ranked #1 in customer satisfaction for decades among spirit reapers’ top memorial hotels worldwide—suddenly goes missing, setting o a mysterious chain of events in the afterlife.”
Who are the cast members of Grand Galaxy (WT)?
Two lead actors have been confirmed for Grand Galaxy Hotel: Lee Do Hyun and Shin Shi Ah.
At the time the project was revealed, Go Min Si had been approached to play the female lead, but Shin Shi Ah had been cast instead.
Lee Do Hyun has starred in several Netflix K-dramas, including Sweet Home, The Good Bad Mother, The Glory, Melancholia, and Prison Playbook.

Shin Shi Ah previously starred in the popular Netflix medical drama, Resident Playbook, the sequel to the beloved K-drama Hospital Playlist.

The only production news we have so far is that filming is expected to get under sometime in the second half of 2025. We’ll update you further once we learn more!
When is the Grand Galaxy Hotel Netflix release date?
With filming yet to get underway, it’s going to be a long wait for K-drama fans. The earliest we could see the K-drama on Netflix is late 2026. However, we expect a 2027 release to be more realistic.
