In the grand finale episode of KBS channel’s Pursuing Old Encounters (오래된 만남 추구), a dating show designed to create space for long-time friends to mingle and discover new relationships, comedian Kim Sook “matched” with singer-turned-actor Gu Bon Seung.
Has their relationship developed since then? Viewers believe so based on Kim Sook’s latest comments about her appearance on the show.
On MBC‘s Where Is My Home?, as fellow hosts got excited about Kim Sook’s final match with Gu Bon Seung, the comedian playfully mentioned that the two of them are “proceeding with caution.” This phrase, “조심스러운 단계” in Korean, is most often used by management agencies in response to dating scandals when the involved celebrities are, indeed, pursuing/trying to pursue a romantic relationship, but things are early on.
In addition, on her VIVO TV YouTube channel, comedian Song Eun Yi revealed that Gu Bon Seung has gifted Kim Sook with fresh squid that he fished. As Kim Sook reacted to this, she revealed that Gu Bon Seung actually sent her a box of chocolates on Valentine’s Day as well.
Given how old they are (Gu Bon Seung is 51, and Kim Sook is 49), how long the two have been single, and how difficult it is to find true love, viewers are rooting for nothing but the relationship to blossom and become something incredible for the two involved!
