Rachel Weisz stars in her first project for Netflix, Vladimir, which showrunner Kate Robin leads. Filming is now ongoing, and confirmed to have joined the cast are Leo Woodall, John Slatterry, Jessica Henwick, Ellen Robertson, and more. Here’s everything we know about Vladimir on Netflix.
We first reported that Netflix had greenlit Vladimir in March 2025, confirming that showrunner and executive producer Kate Robin leads the project. The author of Vladimir, Julia May Jones, is also working on the project as a writer and executive producer. The project has been confirmed to be produced by 20th Television, which recently produced the popular rom-com series Nobody Wants This, as well as Netflix’s upcoming Claire Danes series The Beast In Me.
Joining Robin and Jones as executive producers are Sharon Horgan, Stacy Greenberg, and Kira Carstensen of Merman; Jason Winer and Jon Radler of Small Dog Picture Company; and Shari Springer Berman, Robert Pulcini, and Rachel Weisz.

“As a woman’s life unravels, she becomes obsessed with her captivating new colleague. Full of sexy secrets, dark humor and complex characters, Vladimir is about what happens when a woman goes hell-bent to turn her fantasies into reality.”
Who is in the cast of Vladimir?
The first cast member to be announced was Academy Award winner Rachel Weisz. She will play the leading role in her first project for Netflix. Weisz is most well-known for her film career, with most of her television appearances taking place in the 90s before she became a massive film star. Her most prominent television role to date came in Amazon Prime’s 2023 drama Dead Ringers.

In a recent update, Netflix announced all of the cast members joining Weisz in Vladimir. Leo Woodall has been confirmed to play the role of Vladimir. The actor previously starred on Netflix’s One Day and in HBO’s hit series The White Lotus.

The series regulars have been confirmed to be John Slattery (Mad Men) as John, Jessica Henwick (Glass Onion) as Cynthia, and Ellen Robertson (Mickey 17) as Sid.

Filming for Vladimir began in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, on July 2, 2025. It will shoot for over two months and is scheduled to end on September 18, 2025.

When is Vladimir coming to Netflix?
Netflix has yet to announce a release date for Vladimir, nor has it revealed a release window for the series. We expect that we’ll see Vladimir released on Netflix sometime in late 2026.
