Popular Singer Gets Sued Again… For The 5th Time

“…why is he like this?”

According to a SPOTV News exclusive, singer Park Hyo Shin has been sued again. This is his fifth legal dispute in the past nine years. On April 25, 2025 (KST), SPOTV reported that “individuals” from Park Hyo Shin’s former agency filed a lawsuit against the singer on alleged charges of fraud and obstruction of business.

“CEO A” of Glove Entertainment (Park Hyo Shin’s last management agency before he established his one-man agency, Herbigharo, in 2022) and some shareholders are said to have filed a report with the Yongsan Police Station on April 7.

According to SPOTV, Glove Entertainment issued new shares (pieces of company ownership) in May 2016 and in August 2018 to Park Hyo Shin, CEO A, and other shareholders. Those people are now accusing Park Hyo Shin of “triangular fraud.”

CEO A and the shareholders claim that Park Hyo Shin deceived them by telling them that their shares had been “entrusted to him under a nominee agreement” when, in fact, no such agreement existed. This led CEO A and the shareholders to believe Park Hyo Shin was the true owner of their shares.

Then, during a special shareholders’ meeting in March 2022, Park used those shares to vote and appoint three of his own people as “board members” to help him run the company. At another special meeting in August 2023, he used those shares again to vote and remove CEO A from the board.

CEO A and the shareholders argue that this is a form of triangular fraud, or a type of fraud where the deceived party and the victim are different. In other words, CEO A and the shareholders are claiming that, because of Park Hyo Shin’s fraudulent actions, they were unable to exercise their rights over 23,300 shares—which has allegedly caused, or put them at risk of, financial loss.

In response, Park Hyo Shin told SPOTV, “It is true that CEO A has filed a civil lawsuit regarding the shares against both Glove and Park Hyo Shin,” but added that no criminal fraud charges have been filed.

As Park Hyo Shin is currently preparing for the 10th anniversary performance of the musical Phantom, fans are unsure what to expect. Given the repeated news of him getting embroiled in so many legal battles, some have dubbed him a red flag and questioned the singer’s integrity—regardless of who is actually in the wrong in all of the lawsuits.
