As the show progressed, he chased after the actress, causing her to flee to the top of a staircase in apparent distress. Egashira is then seen making inappropriate gestures towards the actress with his tongue while multiple people hold him back from running towards her. As he harasses the 24-year-old actress he can be heard shouting “Be my woman!” at her.
Nagano — who is widely recognized for her roles in works such as My Love Story!! and We Made a Beautiful Bouquet — was visibly shaken. She eventually broke down in tears and had to leave the stage before later returning.
Egashira, a controversial figure in Japanese entertainment, has built a reputation for his provocative antics.
