On February 17, actor Seo Kang Joon appeared on Shin Dong Yup’s YouTube channel with the cast of the upcoming MBC drama Undercover High School.
In the episode, Seo Kang Joon’s reason for not holding fan events for promotions garnered much attention online.
Shin Dong Yup recalled something he had heard from a hairstylist who had worked in this field for some time.

Actor Jo Bok Rae responded, “Usually when working on projects, most people do things like fan meetings for promotions, but he says he never does them.”
After hearing this, Shin Dong Yup commented, “Is it because it’s not a lot of money?”
Seo Kang Joon gave his honest opinions regarding why he didn’t do fan meetings anymore.
It’s not about the money. I used to do a lot of fan meetings in the past. I thought it would be a really fun and precious time with fans, but I’m not good at singing or dancing. I thought, ‘Is it really worth paying money to come see this?’ I wondered, ‘Can I really sell these tickets to people? With this kind of singing and dancing?’ So, I gradually stopped doing them.

However, netizens felt otherwise, revealing that they would be the ones to judge his performance.
