Song Joong Ki recently gained attention when a florist uploaded photos of the star during a floral arrangement class. It was revealed that he has been preparing to be a florist for a whole year!
Of course, his careful preparation was in order to make a transformation for a drama role. He will play a florist Sun Woo Hae in My Youth. A florist recently uploaded two photos on their personal channel along with the following caption.
“Actor Song Joong Ki, who has been attending flower classes with us since last summer. In preparation for his role as Sun Woo Hae, a male florist, in the JTBC drama My Youth, he spent a long time steadily learning the fundamentals of floral design and showing incredible dedication and passion — I learned so much from him! Thank you for always being so thoughtful every time we meet!! I will sincerely support everything you do in the future ❤️ The star-studded JTBC drama My Youth is scheduled to air sometime between July and August. Please look forward to it and tune in!!!”.
This led netizens to speculate whether Song Joong Ki is currently staying in Korea rather than Italy. These guesses stem from his appearance on JTBC’s Please Take Care of My Refrigerator this past January, where he promoted his film Bogotá: The Land of the Last Chance and spoke about living both in Korea and Rome.
Previously, in 2023, Song Joong Ki announced his marriage to former actress and British national Katy Louise Saunders. That same year, they welcomed a son in Rome, Italy, Katy’s hometown. More recently, they also had a daughter, making Song Joong Ki a father of two.
According to Song Joong Ki’s appearance on Choi Hwa Jung’s YouTube channel, he lives in a newlywed home in Itaewon when he’s in Korea and stays at their home in Tuscany, Italy, when he’s not filming. On that show, he shared that the decision was made out of consideration for his wife who has lived in Italy all her life.
