TEAM SHACHI is a four-member J-Pop group that debuted in Nagoya in April 2012. At the time, the group had six members and went by the name Team Syachihoko. During their debut year, three of the current members–Akimoto Honoka, Nao Sakura, and Ōguro Yuzuki–turned 15 years old. The youngest member, Sakamoto Haruna, was 13. Now, all four are in their mid-twenties and thanking fans for supporting TEAM SHACHI until the end.

The decision to disband was made after discussions about the group’s future. Through individual letters, each member shared their personal feelings about the disbandment with fans, expressing mixed feelings but also a sense that it was time to move on to new endeavors.

Luckily, fans will still have a chance to see TEAM SHACHI in concert. The group will be holding a series of farewell concerts that will end in December in Nagoya, the members’ hometown. TEAM SHACHI’s full schedule of events is available on their official website.
