Sullivan’s Crossing has made its grand debut on Netflix in the United States after first landing on Netflix in Canada earlier this year. The series, coming from the same source material as the popular Virgin River series, has shot up to the top of the Netflix US charts, but as you may know, a third season is already out in the wild. Will that be coming to Netflix? The answer is yes, and very soon!
As we first covered on both occasions, Sullivan’s Crossing first got licensed to Netflix in Canada on April 24th and instantly rose to the charts. That’s now led to the show being licensed in the US with seasons 1 and 2 dropping on July 8th, 2025. In Canada, the series spent 24 days in the daily TV top 10s before dropping out. The day after it arrived in the US, it managed to get to the number 2 spot in the charts, but has spent two additional days at the number 1 spot and looks to be a permanent feature in the top 10s in the coming weeks.
To catch you up on the broadcast rights to the show, it first airs on CTV before The CW airs it in the United States a week or so afterward. That happened with season 3, which returned for 10 episodes beginning April 27th and recently wrapped up on June 22nd. That season was notably missing from the arrival of the show on Netflix, but we’ve learned that it won’t be long before more comes.
Our intel suggests that season 3 is due to arrive on Netflix in the US, at least, on August 11th, 2025. Netflix then has the license for at least two years through to August 2027. If you can’t wait that long, The CW is streaming all three seasons.

Season 3 kicks off with Maggie trying to embrace her new life at the Crossing as she struggles to move past the loss she suffered the night of the diner fire.
The good news is that the show’s future beyond season 3 is also confirmed. As the network announced in early June 2025, CTV has picked up season 4 of the show. Filming is scheduled to begin on August 7th in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and conclude on November 25th, 2025. This suggests that season 4 will return to its regularly scheduled Spring slot on broadcast and may also appear on Netflix again next summer. We’ll have to wait and see.
On the flipside, another hit Canadian show is set to leave Netflix in the coming weeks. We’re referring to Heartland, which will see all sixteen seasons go in the US in the coming weeks. If you’re enjoying Sullivan’s Crossing, you’ll want to check out Heartland if you’re midway through a binge. Also in related news, Virgin River just secured a season 8 renewal ahead of its season 7 release, expected either in December 2025 or early 2026.
